The Genetical Analysis of Characters with Continuous Variability on a Mendelian Basis. III. Dihybrid Segregation.

چکیده
HE segregation of continuous F, distributions has been demonstrated on the character cotyledon size in Part I “Monohybrid segregation” in WEBER (1959). The same methods were applied to the character primary leaf size for the parents and the F,, the single measurements length (insertion to tip) = x4 and area = x5 being used. Figure 1 shows the average sizes of hypocotyl, cotyledon and primary leaf of the tomato varieties Professor Rudloff (=R) and Bonner Best (=B) .

A review on the nectar scale characters in some species of Ranunculus in Iran
Ranunculus L. with about 600 species is the largest genus in the Ranunculaceae. Problems in the taxonomy of the genus are due to high variability and polymorphism among different individuals and populations of certain species. Morphological characters of nectar scale have been considered as valuable taxonomical characters in some perennial species in some groups (Praemorsa, Grumosa, Rhizomatosa...

متن کاملSelection response in traits with maternal inheritance.
Maternal inheritance is the non-Mendelian transmission of traits from mothers to their offspring. Despite its presence in virtually all organisms, acting through a variety of mechanisms, the evolutionary consequences of maternal inheritance are not well understood. Here we review and extend a model of the inheritance and evolution of multiple quantitative characters with complex pathways of mat...
متن کاملThe Genetical Interpretation of Statistics of the Third Degree in the Study of Quantitative Inheritance.
For the past 20 years genetical methods have gradually been made more and more familiar to the practical breeders of plants and animals, upon whom the improvement for human use of the domesticated animals and cultivated plants finally depends. During this period it has become increasingly clear that the hereditary mechanism is well represented by the Mendelian scheme, as extended mainly by the ...
